📲 mySLC

Salt Lake City created the mySLC app as a one-stop-shop to request services, share comments, and report a wide range of issues from potholes to graffiti. It allows you to submit photos and even track the status of your requests.

🌳 Dangerous Trees

“Who should I call about dangerous limbs that need to be cut from trees?”

The Urban Forestry Division can help with that! They manage tree health inspections, removal of dead trees, broken or hanging branches, and fallen trees on public property. You can report these issues on mySLC.

If the tree is creating a hazard to sidewalks or is blocking access to private property, call 801-972-7818 for prompt assistance. And if a tree is interfering with power lines, contact Rocky Mountain Power at 1-888-221-7070.

🚮 Broken Glass in the Park

“I’ve noticed broken glass on the sidewalk in Fairmont Park. Who should I call?”

The Parks Division handles litter in Salt Lake City’s public parks. Call the main Parks number at 801-972-7800 to report broken glass. Non-hazardous litter can be reported through mySLC.

💨 Gas Smell

“My street in Marmalade near the refinery periodically smells like gas. Who should I call?”

If you smell gas, treat it as an emergency, and report it immediately to Enbridge Gas at 1-800-767-1689. Salt Lake City doesn’t manage natural gas services for businesses and residents.

🚦 Request an Intersection

“How do I go about advocating for a stop light or intersection by my house?”

Submit traffic control concerns under “General Transportation Request” in mySLC. It’ll be looked over by the City Transportation Engineer who will determine the most effective solution. Often the problem can be fixed through infrastructure changes like new signage or updated striping.
