Some of my favorite childhood memories were made at our neighborhood public pool. If you’re looking for a fun and affordable way to keep your kids active this summer, get them a My County Rec Pass.

What’s a My County Rec Pass?

A free year-round pass for kids ages 0-18 to gain access to Salt Lake County recreation centers, pools, and ice rinks. Salt Lake County first launched this program last year and over 62,000 children participated!

What’s Included?

  • 17 recreation centers across the county
  • 18 swimming pools (indoor and outdoor)
  • Skating at three ice rinks
  • Supervised use of two climbing walls
  • Open gym, weight rooms, and fitness areas
  • Various activities like game nights, pickleball, arts and crafts, and more

How To Sign Up

Fill out an application at any participating rec center location. A valid photo ID or proof of Salt Lake County residency is required. Both child and parent/guardian must be present to register.

Note: 18 year olds can register on their own, but must bring ID!

Know Before You Go

  • All children under 9 years old must be accompanied by a parent, guardian, or chaperone who’s at least 14 years old. Age restrictions may also vary by activity depending on the recreation center.
  • The rec pass cannot be used at Kearns Recreation Center, Millcreek Activity Center, and Sports Office.
