What Salt Lake's Talking About

40,000-Acre Data Center?

Kevin O’Leary, of “Marty Supreme” and “Shark Tank” fame, seeks to build the largest data center in the world in Utah. The “hyperscale” project would use (and generate, via a natural gas pipeline) as much energy as our entire state. The Box Elder County Commission postponed a vote on the project and set up a form to submit questions about the proposal after community outcry. [X, Salt Lake Tribune, Box Elder County]

Elizabeth Smart Is an Award-Winning Bodybuilder

Local child safety activist Elizabeth Smart won first place in the Wasatch Warrior bodybuilding competition in Salt Lake City, marking her fourth time competing. She shared on Instagram that she had previously kept it private out of concern it might affect how people view her advocacy work. [Entertainment Weekly]

$30 Concert Tickets

Live Nation is offering $30 tickets for their Summer of Live deal, starting today through May 5. A great chance to snag cheaper seats for big tours, but only while supplies last. [Live Nation]
