Salt Lake’s food scene is always changing. While we’re still mourning recent closures (RIP Market Street Grill), a handful of new restaurants have arrived. Here are a few to check out.

Year of the bagel? If 2026 has a food trend, it might be bagels. Nano’s Bagels serves New York-style bagels in Sandy. And City Boy Bagels is working toward a Lehi storefront but has been doing pop-ups in the meantime. Follow their Instagram for the latest drops.
For your sweet tooth: Sugar Moose Candy is now open in the 9th & 9th neighborhood, for those who are still chasing the Swedish candy craze. Or if donuts are more your thing, JD Flannel Donuts is now open in Foothill.
Daybreak is unstoppable. A lot of Salt Lake City faves have made their way south, including the newly opened Nomad Eatery, Rockwell Ice Cream, and Red Iguana. Naraya Thai by the people behind Sawadee Thai is slated to arrive by next month. At this point, what doesn’t Daybreak have?
Chain, chain, chain: Southern favorite Chicken Salad Chick opened its first Utah location in Pleasant Grove. The menu revolves around one thing — you guessed it — chicken salad.
