Is it tough to be a virgin in today’s society? That’s what members of the Brigham Young Virginity Club seem to think. It’s an Instagram page that claims to be a “Utah-based club dedicated to preserving and promoting Virginity on college campuses.” And they’re very clear that they have “no affiliation with BYU.”

What’s not clear is whether the page is serious or satire. Ali and two former BYU students, Cassie Bingham and Shelby Hintze, break down who the page is for, if it’s a productive way of discussing purity culture, and whether everyone is in on the joke.
