Spring is in full swing and we’re soaking it all in. What better way to chase that vitamin D (don’t forget your sunscreen!) than posting up on a patio all day long. Here are some of the best patios in Salt Lake.

Criteria for Good Patio

I’m a simple girl. Here’s what I’m seeking for the optimal patio experience.

☂️ Shady lady: Whether it be trees, awnings, or umbrellas, there should be some sort of sun protection available. Because if it’s perfect weather, I want to feel the sun on my face. If it’s too hot, get me in the shade. I need options.

😎 What’s the vibe: Greenery, mood lighting, stellar views — one or more of these makes for the perfect ambiance.

After major renovations, the rooftop at Salt Lake City’s Main Library is reopening. Join them for a reopening party on Saturday, May 17 from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. The celebration will feature live music and bee-themed activities, an ode to the library’s resident rooftop bees.

Head here to feel like a Real Housewife — it was one of their filming locations! While the “patio” is technically indoors, the floor-to-ceiling windows and glass ceiling give you sprawling views of the Salt Lake valley. On a warm day, they usually open the windows, giving you a true Hannah Montana “Best of Both Worlds” moment.

The patio at Finca is a real European escape without stepping foot outside Salt Lake City. Enjoy Spanish-style tapas al fresco, surrounded by lush ivy, at the 15th & 15th location. It’s the most charming setting to have a romantic evening or catch up with a loved one.

Proof that all a gal really ever needs is brunch, fresh air, and good company. If you’re more of a lunch-or-dinner type, try Nomad East across the street. It’s another great option for food and outdoor seating. After your meal, take a walk around Yalecrest to look at the fancy houses or take a browse around Jolley’s Corner, a cute little shoppy shop.
