The return of farmers markets is an exciting time each year, and the buzz went up to 11 when Salt Lake City and the Downtown Alliance announced plans for a potential year-round market at Pioneer Park. While we await updates on the proposal, let’s explore what’s new at the Downtown Farmers Market, and spots to get your fresh goodies around Salt Lake.
Downtown Farmers Market
| Pioneer Park
🗓️ Saturdays beginning June 7, 8-2 p.m.
Home chefs rejoice: The mobile knife-sharpening station will be back at Pioneer Park this year. Another intriguing addition is Spring Brook Dairy, the market’s first raw milk vendor.
Here’s a look at a few of the new vendors you’ll see and what they’re offering:
- Girls Who Smash — because it’s always a good time for smash burgers.
- Santa Backyard Coffee — this women-owned, independent coffee bar will have all your espresso favorites, plus matcha.
- Beehive Freeze Honey Slush — frozen sorbet-like treats made solely with organic ingredients, perfect for those hot summer days.
- Marcato Kitchen — three words: delicious stromboli sandwiches.
- Grumpy Dough — a food truck serving the breakfast sandwiches of your dreams.
💡 Bonus tip: Check the list of what’s fresh each month.
