My idea of a perfect Salt Lake City day includes a jaunt at the downtown farmers market. Here are some of my favorite food booths.
New York City has Magnolia Bakery banana pudding and Salt Lake City has Parfe Diem. This gourmet pudding shop offers tasty flavors beyond the traditional banana, like strawberry cheesecake and brigadeiro (Brazilian chocolate truffle).
I’m in my gut-health era, which means I’m trying to pack in those probiotics. Milk Honey’s cream top yogurt is so decadent, I always make sure to pick up a carton or two. My favorite flavors are Earl Grey and coffee (both seasonal!) and the classic vanilla bean.
If you don’t visit the farmers market early in the morning, it gets hot fast. I love grabbing an ice lolly to help beat the heat. The popsicle molds are housed in a big round metal container, and they come in an array of flavors.
Another great way to cool down is to grab a giant smoothie at Green Jar. Bonus: If you bring your own jar, you get a discount!
Stop by Makaya Caters to fill up on the most flavorful Haitian food. I dream of the cinnamon pork and black beans with a side of plantains.
