Think of this as your Hey Salt Lake community bulletin board: A dedicated space for volunteer opportunities, resources, fundraisers, and other ways to help your neighbors.

Sprague Library Book Sale

Friends of the Salt Lake City Public Library is hosting a book sale at the Sprague Branch in Sugar House on Saturday, July 27 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Buy gently used books and library-themed merch to help support the public library.

Salt Lake Harm Reduction Project

Volunteer with Salt Lake Harm Reduction Project. They have a number of opportunities available including recycling drop-off, washing donated clothes, and outreach. Email lux@shrpexchange.org if you’re interested.

Heal Utah Focus Group

Utah State University in partnership with Heal Utah and UYES is conducting a research study on the community impact of decreasing water levels. It will be on Tuesday, July 30 at the Glendale Library from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Participants will receive a gift card to a local grocery store. You must be 18+ and live near the Great Salt Lake or other affected Utah lakes. Register in advance.
