Salt Lake City’s punk alternative to Pioneer Day is coming up next week: Pie & Beer Day. Do you know where you’re getting your pies? Here are some of the best slices in Utah.

📍Midvale

Meat pies in all sorts of flavors, some even topped with mashed potatoes. If you’re looking for something on the sweet side, try the fruit tart or custard tart.

📍Capitol Reef National Park

If you’re headed to Capitol Reef for the holiday, don’t miss Gifford Homestead. They’re famous for their pies, which taste even better a la mode and after a long day of hiking.

📍Millcreek

This vegan microbakery is celebrating Pie & Beer day with pies, cobbler, and quiche. Order by Saturday, July 19 for pickup between July 23-24.

📍 American Fork

Newly opened shop known for their meat pies, fresh fruit juices, and love for “Popeye the Sailor Man.” Even better, they’re open every day until midnight.

📍Poplar Grove

Preorders are open now for Forty Three Bakery’s Pie and Beer Day. Flavors include salted pretzel chocolate cream pie, Utah peach crumble pie, and mixed berry crumble pie. $30 each with pickup days from July 23-26.
