Still need to deck your halls for the holidays? Don’t panic. Utah has plenty of shops packed with festive treasures. Here’s a guide to some of the best places to find holiday decor.
Brave the Mall
What would the holidays be without a trip to the mall? If you can, going on a weekday is probably the best bet to avoid the biggest crowds. Gump’s SF is a holiday pop-up store at City Creek Center filled to the brim with everything holly and jolly.
Shop Secondhand
Capital City Antique Mall has a dedicated room overflowing with holiday hoo-be what-ees but you can also discover special keepsakes sprinkled throughout the store. My friend always seems to procure the best vintage wrapping paper here.
Copperhive Vintage is a kitschy dream with some things old and some things new (Labubu-esque ornaments?). And at The Village Vintage Interiors, you’re sure to uncover something one-of-a-kind.
Stay in Salt Lake City
I always love popping into the shops at 9th & 9th for seasonal gems. Mochi Play Store has an assortment of goodies for Christmas and Hanukkah. Salt & Honey Market always has great items, usually by local artisans. And I can spend hours sifting through the offerings at The Children’s Hour.
Next, head over to Jolley’s Corner for some truly epic ornaments: a bedazzled Diet Coke can, Utah’s own Post Malone, and everyone’s childhood favorite frosted sugar cookies.
Or Venture Out
La Petite Maison is a French-inspired home goods and antiques shop in Draper that’s stocked with yuletide trinkets. At Cactus & Tropicals, holiday decor is 30% off through Sunday, Dec. 7. Plus, they have a special Christmas tree discount at their Midvale location when you buy a pizza next door at The Bambino.
If you really wanna go crazy, head down to Orem and Provo because Sun River Gardens goes hard for the holidays. And Heirloom Art Co., just like the name implies, has beautiful delicate pieces you’ll cherish for years to come.
