Snow is in the forecast next week, which means winter is coming. Warm up with a bowl of soup! Here are some of the best you can find in Salt Lake.

East Coast-style comfort in the Mountain West. Matzo ball soup is a classic, but they also offer a seasonal chicken pot pie soup that’s to die for.

Stop here on your way to or from the slopes. You really can’t beat the cream of mushroom or tomato basil on a ski day.

Hill’s Kitchen is a great place to hang out and eat soup. The Sugar House location has giant indoor trees, which trick me into thinking I’m dining al fresco even when it’s blizzarding outside.

Hey Salt Lake reader Chance C. loves the lemon rice soup at Emigration Cafe. It’s both comforting and zesty.

Hey Salt Lake reader Jenna A. said the butternut squash bisque “will change your life, like an on-point tarot read, or a patriarchal blessing.” If that’s not a rave endorsement, I don’t know what is.
