Date Turned AA Meeting

“We were both running late and had to switch locations twice [but] we finally met at Rise and Grind. Just as we got comfortable, a group of bikers let us know an AA meeting was about to start and invited us to stay. The contrast was pretty funny: I was dressed up in a cute dress, and my future wife looked polished in a cardigan and nice pants. We definitely stood out. But we stayed, finished our drinks, listened in, and then grabbed dinner after. Not the first date we planned, but definitely one to remember.”

Clowns Need Love, Too

“I once went on a date with a literal clown. On her bio she said she did comedy, so I asked her about it and it turns out she grew up in a clown family. Her mother went to Ringling Clown College and then married a man [who] also became a clown, then they had some kids. [My date shared] pictures of herself as a clown as a child. No second date, not interested in clown children.”

Quite The Catch

“I moved to SLC in June from Texas. In August, I met a girl who invited me to sub on her softball team through Beehive Sports. [I] played with them and went to the bar afterwards. The guy who played first base (who is my now bf) decided he liked me, and his way of flirting with me was signing me up for karaoke. So I sang 'Friends in Low Places,' and I guess that sealed the deal lol. We then hung out the following weekend and really haven't stopped hanging out since.”
