Volunteering is great, but are you looking for other ways to make a positive impact in your community? Here are just a few examples of simple yet meaningful ways to give back.

🚲 Go Car-Free

Join Heal Utah from Sept. 29 to Oct. 5 for a week without driving. Support sustainable transit, help reduce emissions, and explore new ways to get around. Participants can sign up, share their journeys, and even win prizes by completing a Bingo card.

Keep the party going with this car-free neighborhood guide to Marmalade/Fairpark.

🆓 Donate to the Really Really Free Market

Salt Lake Community Mutual Aid is hosting a Really Really Free Market at Liberty Park on Sunday, Sept. 28. It’s a great opportunity to donate your gently used items, but you can participate in the market whether you bring items or not.

🌱 Start Your Native Plant Garden

Wasatch Community Gardens is offering a hands-on workshop and online webinar to learn how to create a thriving native garden using drought-tolerant plants. It helps support pollinators and our local ecosystem.

⛑️ Good Neighbors Carry Naloxone

Naloxone aka Narcan can reverse an opioid overdose and save a life. Take a virtual training with Utah Naloxone, the next one is Tuesday, Sept. 30. Those who pre-register and attend will receive a free injectable rescue kit.
