Sometimes, all you want to do is look at cute animals (at least that’s where I’m at right now). Here’s where to find them IRL in Salt Lake.

Tracy Aviary has four new flamingo chicks and it’s seriously cuteness overload. They’re gray, fluffy, and learning how to stand (wobble) on one foot.

Since I don’t have a dog, I live vicariously through Dog Friendly SLC. They’re always posting fun events, whether you have a pup or not, like dogalates (pilates with rescue dogs) or yappy hours (where you and your four-legged friend can make new pals).

It may be the obvious choice, but Hogle has a baby orangutan and I’m still not over it. Plus, they welcomed a baby giraffe in February that stood six feet tall at birth, so it’s probably all grown up by now.

At Cross E Ranch you can book a private experience to groom mini horses or cuddle with highland cows, goats, llamas, alpacas, and bunnies.

If reptiles are your thing, head here to see everything from tiny turtles to pythons. And if you dare, you can even hold a tarantula.
