While the weather permits, get outside for some planting and clean-up in the community. Here are a few upcoming opportunities:

🌱 Fitts Park Planting

The South Salt Lake Neighborhoods Department and TreeUtah are planting 20 trees and 200 plants at Fitts Park, this Saturday Oct. 14 from 9 a.m.-noon. This helps support our local pollinators.

🌱 Antelope Island Service Project

The Latter-day Saint Earth Stewardship SLC Area chapter is sponsoring a Great Salt Lake service project on Oct. 21 from 9-11:30 a.m. Learn about the ecosystem at Antelope Island from a park ranger, then help remove plants and trash. Juice and donuts will be provided.

🌱 Cleaning Up the Jordan River Trail

Clean up the Jordan River Trail on Oct. 14, 17 and 19. Each week will cover a different section of the trail, including Poplar Grove, Rose Park and Gatsby Park. Volunteers will remove invasive weeds and trash.
