Tickets are live for the Kilby Block Party, SLC Twilight, and Ogden Twilight, which means concert season beckons. There are certain details you might overlook until you’re directly outside the venue, like bag policies and where to park. Today, we’re sharing a practical guide so you can make the most of your experience.
⚡️ Quick Tips
- Purchase tickets early. Popular shows tend to sell out quickly.
- Be a courteous concertgoer. Don’t push unless a mosh pit’s involved.
- Dress for the occasion. Check the weather if the venue’s outside.
👛 What to Bring
When in doubt: PKW (phone, keys, wallet). Bring your ID, especially if it’s a 21+ show. Also, most parking garages no longer accept cash — does anyone carry cash around anymore? And be sure to check the venue’s bag policy before you bring that cool new fanny pack.
In the year of our lord 2025, we should also let go of any shame about wearing ear plugs and protect our hearing:
⛑️ Safety First
It’s always a good idea to have an emergency plan. Make sure you identify the nearest exit and designate a meetup spot if you’re with other people.
Remember to hydrate! Also, (from personal experience) don’t lock your knees. How will you enjoy the show if you’re passed out?
🎸 Upcoming Concert Series
This year’s lineup brings Sierra Ferrell, Earth Gang, and the return of Japanese Breakfast.
Ogden is a throwback dream with Disclosure, Wilco, and Modest Mouse.
Tickets for Lord Huron and Lake Street Dive are already selling out, so keep an eye out for announcements.
The full lineup will be released April 8. They’ve already announced Trampled By Turtles and Little Feat.
