Your Guide to November in Salt Lake

00:00:00

And just like that, it’s November. Time flies when you’re having fun! We’ve got a roundup of the best things to do for yourself or with the people you love this month. For even more recs, listen to our November guide on our City Cast Salt Lake podcast.

Election got you stressed out? Cuddle a cow in Spanish Fork — this is not a drill, people! Fold of Liberty Farms has Scottish Highland cows (you know, those emo-looking cows with hair in their face) that you can meet, walk with, and, yes, even snuggle.

If you’re a self-proclaimed Potterheard (or know someone who is) don’t miss the Utah Symphony’s “Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone” in Concert. The live orchestra will bring the soundtrack to life alongside the film, a perfect thing to do with family or friends before the holiday season. It’s happening Nov. 7-9 at Abravanel Hall. Tickets are going quick, so scoop ‘em up while you can!

Find your nearest rec center and get your body movin’! I started going to Zumba classes at my neighborhood rec center, and it’s everything I could ever want:

  • A group fitness class, which always motivates me ‘cause competition.
  • Exercise but make it silly, ‘cause girls just wanna have fun.

🎧 Related listening: Meet the tap dancers from Shirley Temple Square.

What kind of holiday shopper are you? Scramble at the last minute or finish by July? Either way, we’ve got a gift guide (yes, it's for Mother's Day, but it applies to every person on your list) to help you shop small. Stay tuned for an updated list in November!

What’s on your itinerary this month?
