Our City Cast Salt Lake podcast spoke with Salt Lake resident Andy Moray who visited every coffee shop in Salt Lake City; no small feat, as we have over 70! Give the episode a listen for his favorites and take on the quest yourself, if you dare. Below are a few of my favorite cafes.
Their new location on 470 W. 200 N. opened a few weeks ago. Select something from their seasonal menu to satisfy your sweet tooth. The “Snow Angel” is a peppermint white chocolate matcha, and sounds right up my alley.
A lovely neighborhood coffee shop tucked into the Marmalade/Capitol Hill area. It is a small space, but try to get a seat upstairs. They have huge windows and when the sun shines just so, it’s the coziest place to hunker down and get some work done.
I could wax poetic about their iced Vietnamese coffee. It’s strong yet perfectly sweet, slightly salty, and decadently creamy. And the bagels are some of the best in town. Catch me on the patio, weather permitting.
City Cast Salt Lake producer Ivana Martinez introduced me to this gem in West Valley, and it’s been one of my favorites ever since. I crave the mazapán (not to be confused with marzipan) latte at least once a week. Try the chilaquiles, too — scrumptious and spicy!
Culture Coffee opened a little over a year ago and has easily become a Salt Lake City staple. I used to live a short walk away and it was such a treat to hangout at the shop, sipping a lolo caramel latte.
