We’re excited for summer and being outdoors with a pint surrounded by good friends, and it seems you are, too. Here are reader picks for the best breweries in the Salt Lake area:
“This isn't technically in Salt Lake, but Offset Bier in Park City is absolutely killer! Great vibes and even better beer that rivals our favorite breweries we've tried around the country.” - Melissa H.
“2 Row Brewing in Midvale does not get enough love! They are arguably the best brewery in the state. Sadly, they don’t have a tap room (yet! They are working on it!), but their beer is both excellent and less expensive than comparable local beer. If you’re in the neighborhood, it’s so worth picking up a six pack to go.
T.F. Brewing saw the challenge of the under 5% draft laws and said, ‘hold my beer,’ literally. These folks throw down when it comes to low points. They might not be strong, but they taste great. I always get a schnitt at the brewery. It’s like $3 and ‘half foam’ but it isn’t really half foam :)
Grid City Beer Works has some excellent brews as well, and they get an extra gold star for inclusivity. For those who aren’t so into beer, their hard seltzers are super tasty, and their food menu welcomes folks of all dietary preferences (very vegan friendly, in particular). It’s a great place to take a crowd with a variety of tastes. Plus, hello rooftop patio!” - Hannah T.
“I believe the best beer in Utah is from Bohemian Brewery. Their food is also very good!” - Vicki H.
“Level Crossing Brewing Co. is tops in the city. Their ‘Suss It Out’ IPA is the best I’ve had. It’s a great vibe there, they have indoor and outdoor seating, and their wood fired pizzas are amazing. Cheers.” - Chet G.
