It’s no secret, our city closes shop early. Most kitchens close at 10 p.m. So what do you do after last call? Our in-house expert and self-proclaimed night owl, Ali Vallarta tells us her picks for the best late-night meals in Salt Lake:
Arempas
“Hands down the best place is Arempas. The food is delicious and has great flavor but you also have the most options. You can get vegan or vegetarian and the arepas are gluten-free (made with corn instead of flour). The other thing that matters to me is the vibe. Arempas is kind of always a party. The walls are painted blue, they’ve got huge murals of the beach, and they’re always playing Latino hits. You’re going to hear some reggaeton.”
Copper Common
“Their kitchen closes at midnight on the weekend and they have some pretty healthy options. If you get out of a movie at The Broadway or an airport run, you could pop over there and have something a bit more thorough and maybe it even comes with a side salad.”
Runner’s Up:The Pie Hole, Street Tacos, and good ol’ Dee’s.
