Craft Lake City’s annual DIY Festival starts today and goes through Sunday. It’s a true feast of the senses, celebrating local artisans, performers, and food vendors. Here’s what I’m looking forward to.
🔥 Hot tip: Take public transportation! Your ticket to the festival can be used as fare for all UTA services.
The most aesthetic “I Spy” you’ll ever see, Arte di Vita (aka Courtney Wood) curates a collection of vintage office supplies, miniatures, and nostalgic tchotchkes.
There’s a lot to do and see at the DIY Fest, so stay caffeinated with a mango matcha or latte from Santa Backyard Coffee. I can’t even believe how cute their logo is.
I always love visiting Neuer Geist. Not only do they sell cool risograph prints and merch, but they usually do something fun with their booth. One year, they had it set up like an office cubicle, with bluetooth headset and all — iconic.
Take a moment to enjoy the performances taking place on different stages throughout the day. I’m looking forward to the smooth sounds of R&B and afrobeats from local musician Gavanni.
Finally, I’m grabbing some food at Mama Africa, a Creole and African food truck famous for their pili pili hot sauce. Save room for beignets!
