It’s Friday night, the lights are low, and if you’re like me, there’s nothing that brings you better joy than finding a good place to dance. It’s the kind of thing that makes or breaks a night. So where can we be dancing queens in this city?

Get your cowboy boots and hit up the Westerner in West Valley. Not just a spot for the weekend, every Wednesday they do free line dancing lessons. Not in the mood to dance? There’s a karaoke room and if you’re feeling bold, try your hand at bull riding.

🕺🏻Club Karamba

Located in Sugarhouse, this Latin club plays a mixture of reggaeton, cumbia, merengue, and hip hop. A great place to shake your groove-thang with your friends. On Sundays, it’s a gay club with midnight drag shows. Bring cash.

A classic silent disco party downtown every Friday and Saturday. Headquarters to bachelorette parties, birthday celebrations, or a typical night out. Three DJ’s play music all night in a neon tropical oasis.

First Thursday of every month, it’s a cumbia party at Alibi Bar or Drift Lounge. Perfect your twirls and do the washing machine like Selena Quintanilla while singing Como La Flor.

🌶️ Durango Bar

Classic Mexican house party vibes. Grab your tequila, boots, and favorite dance partner. Live bands playing cumbia, corridos, and banda during the weekend. Get in for free before 9:30 pm.

Wanna dance bachata or salsa? DF Dance Studio hosts monthly social dances where you put into practice what you’ve learned in the studio. If you arrive early enough, there’s a free dance lesson before the party gets started.

🥛 MILK+

A staple in our LGBTQ+ nightlife scene. A warehouse club that features drag performances, gogo boys, and pop hits so you can dance the night away.

Where do you go to dance your troubles away?
