RoHa Brewing Project
Let’s hear a shoutout for RoHa Brewing Project! They just spiffed up their dog-friendly patio with fresh picnic tables, plants, and lighting, and it’s lovely.
Sweet Lake Biscuits & Limeade
Try Sweet Lake Biscuits & Limeade. I know there are some intense salad fans who listen to the podcast — Sweet Lake has some serious salad options in addition to their biscuit-based offerings.
ComCom Kitchen
Look across the street to ComCom Kitchen and see what rotating options are there before they grow wings and start successful independent storefronts of their own, like the glorious food truck Skillets (which I recall City Cast Salt Lake rated the best breakfast burrito in town, and I don’t disagree).
Stop by One of These Gems
Piper Down Pub has one of the best brunches in the city, with vegan-friendly options, too.
Honeysuckle Coffee has a great vibe and a patio I look at wistfully all winter until it’s warm enough to sit on it.
Loco Burger has a burger called the Salchi. There are hotdogs on it. On top of the burger. Some may find this appealing, others more of an implicit challenge.
El Meño’s is an authentic option for a great meal. One of the three times we ordered-in food during the worst of the pandemic, we splurged and ordered their Parrillada Mix to go and had meals for most of a week.
I have not yet been to Aces High Saloon. But we have it, and if there’s anyone in the Salt Lake area who is into metal and hasn’t been there, they should definitely visit.
