If you haven’t wandered around Pierpont Avenue lately, it might be time for another visit. The small block in downtown Salt Lake City has filled in with a handful of new shops, making it a lovely place to spend an afternoon.

Old Cuss opened its new Pierpont location earlier this year. The cafe offers vegetarian breakfast, lunch, or baked goods during the week, with dinner service on Fridays and Saturdays.

Salt Lake City has no shortage of tattoo shops. In fact, there’s about 38 tattoo studios per 100,000 Salt Lake County residents. If you’re in the market for some fresh ink, check out Giant Robot Tattoos; they even accept walk-ins.

A perfume shop devoted to independent fragrance brands. It can be overwhelming trying to smell ‘em all, but the owner, Maya, is super helpful and can guide you toward scents that suit your preferences.

Speaking of niche fragrances, this store is dedicated to scents and candles inspired by forests. A perfect place to find a gift for the treehugger in your life.

In my latest hobby attempt, I’m trying to knit my sister-in-law a baby sweater by fall. I love picking up supplies from this yarn store, and they also offer a range of knitting classes if you wanna level up your skills.

You can’t stop by Pierpont Ave without visiting Atelier, the cutest curated boutique chockfull of local artisans and vintage vendors.
