The Granary District, known for its industrial history, is experiencing a modern renaissance with the addition of new restaurants and maker spaces. It’s a great neighborhood to spend a day in, exploring murals and kicking back with friends.

Attending a show at Kilby Court will either make you feel young again or glaringly old — depends on how you look at it. This garage venue normally hosts smaller indie bands, a lot of them are local.

A nice place to hang with friends over some cold beers. There’s a different food truck parked out front each day, and they often throw fun markets and events (like square dancing and live music). Coming soon: a rooftop patio.
Come for the pinball, stay for the wide selection of beers. Also, attend their Crafts & Drafts Market on Saturday, June 15 from 2-8 p.m. which features local artists and makers.
Hoodah is the “protector” sculpture of the Granary District. And at 15-feet tall and 15-feet wide it’s quite the spectacle to see. Catch him chilling on the train tracks around 400 W. and 700 S.
For all the grocery store fanatics out there, you’ll love Bombay Foods. It’s an Indian/South Asian grocery store. They carry excellent bulk spices, and on Fridays they have fresh produce available.
Is learning to skate on your summer bucket list? Hit the All Together Skatepark inside evo hotel. They offer lessons and even have summer camps for kids.
Don’t sleep on Woodbine Food Hall. There are so many food options to choose from, like Deadpan Sandwich or Bok Bok Korean fried chicken. Drift Lounge is the connecting bar that holds cumbia nights on the rooftop and drag bingo every Wednesday.
