Looking for a weekend activity? Gather some friends for a brewery crawl around the Granary District, home to some of the best breweries in town.
Kiitos is a great place to start with current brews on tap including grapefruit cherry sour, salt-n-pickle, and coffee cream ale. This Saturday, April 19, they’re hosting a Crafts & Drafts art market from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m.
Next up, hop on the 9 Line Trail to Scion Cider Bar. I suggest getting a flight so you can sample a few different options. If you need to fuel up at this point, head next door to Central 9th Market for a staff meal which usually consists of meat and three sides.
Tucked away behind the Tesla dealership on 300 West is HK Brewing Collective. I appreciate coming here, as someone who doesn’t drink, because they offer a wide range of non-alcoholic cocktails, ales, and of course, Han’s Kombuchas. What sets their kombucha apart is not only the unique flavors (like pineapple cactus nectar and grapefruit rosemary) but the gentle fermentation process, which gives you light bubbles without a strong vinegary taste.
Saved these last two for the end since they’re open until midnight on weekends. They both have great outdoor spaces to take advantage of the first days of spring. Dance at the Bunny Hop this Easter Sunday at T.F., then head over to the rooftop at Fisher.
